TOUCH SCREEN DVD AND GPS RADIO REPLACEMENT FOR MAZDA3 AND MAZDASPEED3

This affordable indash stock replacement made its way into my 08 mazda 3 on December 25 2011, since then my commute to and from work has been exponentially more enjoyable. The Touchscreen System was extremely easy to install, it maybe took me 30 min to install it and run the wire for the GPS receiver. All I needed was a plastic flat head screwdriver and a phillips screwdriver with replaceable bits as needed for the size of the screws and a piece of double sided tape to mount the GPS receiver below the rearview mirror. It was very simple with plug and play harnesses and 6 easy to find screws to be removed. Some of the features of this device are, bluetooth connectivity for hands free calling, as well as A2DP for bluetooth streaming from your Smartphone or Tablet. It also has a several connectivity options to be able to plug up video equipment such as a back up camera as well as a video in for TV or other media. The device also has maps for GPS Navigation.

Bluetooth connectivity is a must, with the laws constantly changing it’s necessary to have this option. Not only is it very convenient, it makes answering and talking on your phone very safe. This feature works extremely well, you can be heard well enough to get the point across and you can hear the caller clearly inside the cabin of your car over your stock speakers. The streaming feature is spot on, I have used multiple android devices and pairing is a snap. I listen to pandora over bluetooth constantly with little to no issues. I also have the ability to skip songs from the unit its self.

*Thumbs up*
Multiple inputs is the way to go, with the video inputs located on the back I was easily able to install a back up camera. All I have to do is click on the icon and i am able to see every obstacle that may be in my way when reversing. There are several so if you want to install a TV receiver you have that option as well.

*Thumbs WAY up*
The GPS system in the car is a life saver! It is very easy to use and extremely accurate. One of my favorite features is the 3D maps mode. When I am driving downtown in Austin TX it is really cool to see the buildings i see in front of me on screen. The navigation is based on preloaded maps so when you do not have cell reception you can still use the onscreen navigation with ease. It offers easy to input address or Points of Interest based on your current location. The maps do take a minute or two to load so be patient it’s well worth the wait.

I have loved every minute of my indash replacement. It looks amazing nestled in the middle of my car like it rolled off the factory floor with it. The GPS has been the highpoint of the device for me, perfect for long road trips to make sure you make it from point a to b without a hitch. I constantly use the Bluetooth streaming to listen to pandora from my android device, and I haven't hit a single thing in reverse thanks to the back up camera I was able to install. I may not have purchased this device with my own money as it was a christmas gift, but I wouldn’t hesitate.
